HP-β-CD triggers lipid raft formation in DCs. Human monocyte-derived DCs (2.5 × 105 cells/ml) were stimulated with HP-β-CD (1 mg/ml) in the presence or absence of filipin (30 μg/ml) or methanol as a vehicle control for 45 min. (A) Stimulated DCs were stained with Alexa Fluor® 594-conjugated CTB, and the formation of lipid rafts on the cell surface was examined by confocal microscopy. (B) Fluorescence intensity of DCs was analyzed by ZEN software. DIC, differential interference contrast; AU, arbitrary unit. Images shown are representative of three similar results.
