Effects of buprenorphine (1mg/kg) and naltrexone (1mg/kg), alone or in combination, in the mouse forced swim test. The SSRI fluoxetine (20 mg/kg) was administered as a positive control. (A) All compounds under test produced antidepressant-like effects in the forced swim test. (B) The irreversible μ-antagonist CCAM (3mg/kg), administered 24h before buprenorphine, did not block the antidepressant-like effects of buprenorphine in the forced swim test.
