Schematic overview of one trial of the delayed-match-to-sample (WM) task and the LTM task. In each trial, the four objects that were to be placed in the scene were first presented. Subsequently, the room without the objects was shown, whereupon the four objects were placed. During the probe phase, the room was shown from a different angle and subjects had to indicate whether the two objects were at the same spot as during the learning phase or not. In the LTM task, the two other items were probed and the room was again presented from a different orientation
