Signaling pathways and factors examined for involvement in the alternative splicing of Bcl-x pre-mRNA modulated by MDA-7/IL-24 as analyzed by small molecule inhibitors are shown. The table depicts the inhibitors and their respective concentrations utilized in this study. Signaling pathways were examined for effects on the ratio of Bcl-x(L)/(s) mRNA utilizing small-molecule inhibitors at doses well characterized in the scientific literature and previously utilized in studies on A549 cells (4347). mTOR, mammalian target of rapamycin. N/C, no change; iPLA2, intracellular phospholipase A2.
