Peak fold changes and population distributions (percent of total cell population) during cultivation in 25 and 50 g/L xylose in non-normalized data (for the normalized data from this experiment, cf. Additional file 1: Table S5). TMB3712 (HXT1p) displayed an increase in FI after already 3 h, but the analyzed samples were consistently distributed in a single peak population. TMB3713 (HXT2p) and TMB3714 (HXT4p) were highly heterogeneous on the FL-1 (GFP) channel with two distinct peaks (one with low and one with high FI).
