In the ROC curve analysis (b), the area under curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity and accuracy for the differentiation of SCC and IP were 0.92, 0.91 (30/33), 0.86 (7/8) and 0.90 (37/41) with the threshold of 106–109 ml 100 g⁻¹ min⁻¹ [(a): *2]. Lines of thresholds for the sensitivity of 1.0 [(a): *3, 64 ml 100 g⁻¹ min⁻¹] and specificity of 1.0 [(a): *4, 127 ml 100 g⁻¹ min⁻¹] are also presented.
