The activity of the caspase was measured after 6 h and 24 h of incubating the cells with 0.5% DMSO and securinine at concentrations of 5.0, 10.0 and 30.0 μg/ml. Relative activity of caspase-9 was determined in comparison to the control (DMSO). Each sample was run at least in triplicate. Error bars represent standard deviations. Significant differences relative to the control are marked with an “*” (p<0.05).
