(b) Scattering length densities (SLDs) from HRP, cellulose and deuterated cellulose as a function of D2O content in the D2O/H2O mixture. The labile protons from the 3 hydroxy groups per glucose are exchanged reflecting the D2O/H2O ratio of the solvent. The crossing point of the water line with the protein and cellulose represents the “matching” point. The SLD for HRP was calculated from the fitting of the NR curve.
