Doxycycline-inducible PC3 and MDA-MB-231 clones able to express recombinant NRP1-FS (FS) or NRP1-Δ7 (Δ7) were plated in soft agar as described in Materials and Methods. Cells were supplemented (dox+) or not (dox-) with weekly renewed doxycycline (1 μg/ml). After 3 weeks of culture, colonies were counted in the whole dishes. Results are represented as the number of colonies expressed as mean ± SD. Representative results of two independent experiments performed in quadruplicates are shown (*: p<0.05, as determined by Mann-Whitney U test).
