Oocytes were incubated for 2 h in a solution that included Na³⁶Cl. We used the specific activity of the bathing solution to convert the measure of accumulated ³⁶Cl into an estimate of net Cl influx over the same period. ^#Significance with 95% confidence between the groups indicated using a one‐way ANOVA with Tukey's comparison test. Each ‘n’ represents one group of five oocytes.
