Lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) and glucose induce human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) injury in a concentration-dependent manner. HUVECs were treated with different concentrations of LPC (5, 10, 20, and 40 μg/mL) and glucose (5, 15, 30, 60, and 90 mM) in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) for 24 h. Cell viability (relative to the control group) was analyzed using the CCK-8 assay. Data shown represent mean ± standard error of the mean (SEM) of three independent experiments. & P < 0.05; && P < 0.01 versus control group; &&& P < 0.001.
