Rapamycin inhibits proliferation of bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs). Cells were incubated with rapamycin at 50 nM and 100 nM concentrations for 0 h, 8 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h, respectively. The relative cell viability of BMECs was examined by MTT assay. Rapamycin had inhibitive effect on cell proliferation (** p<0.01).
