Changes of mechanical thresholds before, during, and after electrical stimulation of motor cortex stimulation (MCS) in Groups A and B. Two groups showed the increment of mechanical thresholds during MCS on, and these antinociceptive effects of MCS lasted for more than 30 minutes even though the electrical stimulation was off state. And the difference between mechanical thresholds of two groups was statistically significant until 40 minutes [two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Bonferroni post hoc tests; ∗∗ p < .01].
