Table 3.

Comparison of growth and product yields of S. cerevisiae CEN.PK 113–7D during aerobic batch growth in the presence of different acids. Biomass yield was calculated as the final biomass produced divided by the substrate consumed. The yields of other metabolites were obtained as the slope of the linear curve when the biomass or metabolite concentration was plotted against the glucose concentration during exponential growth on glucose. The results were calculated from at least three biological replicates, and are given as the mean value ± standard deviation. ND: not detectable.
