The odds ratios are conditioned on the matching variables and adjusted for exact age, marital status, education level, cigarette smoking, height, and body mass index. The odds ratio per 80%^le increase in folate concentration and p value for trend were calculated by replacing the fifths of the folate with a continuous variable that was scored 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1 in the conditional logistic regression model.
