The black vertical line shows the value of vaccine R₀ that should result in the deterministic eradication of the infectious disease as predicted by equation (A 5) in appendix A. Parameters are identical to figure 3 in the main text, with the exception of β_V which varied from 0 to 0.003 in 0.000015 increments.
