Systemic inactivation of the Alox15 gene rescues subfertility of Sec46Ala-Gpx4+/− mice. Male Sec46Ala-Gpx4+/−+Alox15+/+ and Sec46Ala-Gpx4+/−+Alox15−/− mice were mated with female individuals of the same genotype. As suitable measures for male fertility, the percentage of successful mating (matings resulting in pregnancies, panel A) and the litter sizes (panel B) were quantified.
