Observed data for two binary outcome random variables. Here n11 is the number of subjects for whom both variable 1 and variable 2 take on the values 1. n10 is the number where variable 2 is 1 and variable 1 is 0, and n01 and n00 are defined similarly. The total number of observations is N = n11 + n10 + n01 + n00. The row and column marginals are N1+ = n11 + n10, N0+ = n01 + n00, N+1 = n11 + n01 and N+0 = n10 + n00.
