(A) Leukemia or myeloma cells, or (B) breast carcinoma cells were cultured in the presence or absence (vehicle control: water) of the indicated concentrations of Mastoparan for 24 h. Percent cytotoxicity was determined by MTT. Data shown represent the mean of 3 independent experiments ± SEM. (C) MCF7 and paclitaxel-resistant MCF7-TX400 cells were cultured in the presence or absence of Mastoparan for 24 h. Cell viability was assessed by Trypan Blue exclusion. All data is plotted as the the mean of 3 independent experiments ± SEM.
