Amplicon pools were subsampled at 50 000 sequences. OTUs from the recipient pool that were not represented in any transconjugal pool were removed prior to subsampling and ordination based on weighted OTU abundance using the Theta Yue Clayton (Yue and Clayton, 2005) algorithm.
