(A) After CLP, blood samples were collected at 24 h (for TNF-α) or 48 h (for IL-1β and IL-6) for measurement of cytokine concentration (n = 3 animals per group). (B) Mouse primary splenocytes were treated with 1 μg/mL of LPS in the presence or absence of 10 μM of Cl-amidine (n = 5/group). The pro-inflammatory cytokines were measured by ELISA. Data presented as mean ± SEM. IL-1β: interleukin-1β. IL-6: interleukin-6. TNF-α: tumor necrosis factor-α. CLP: cecal ligation and puncture. LPS: lipopolysaccharide.
