Since little is known regarding the OR of rs1121980 and rs1558902 for T2D, and both SNPs and rs9939609 were found to be strong LD (r2>0.8) (S2 Table), we used the reported OR of rs9939609a) for T2D to calculate the estimated power of rs1121980 and rs1558902.
