Total protein isolated from indicated strains were subject to western blot analysis. Membranes were probed with antibodies recognizing GFP or RecA. Nucleotide shown in black box is removed in the respective sequence whereas the nucleotide in red box is mutated to U. Their respective melting temperature is shown (in°C) at the bottom of secondary structure. The blue colored residues in CssA6 are mutated/deleted in CssA71, CssA72 and CssA75.
