The associations were adjusted for sex, gestational age and age at blood sampling, and meta-analysed for 18 288 individuals from seven cohorts. Association magnitudes are in units of 1 SD fatty acid measure per 1 kg lower birthweight. Fatty acid ratios are relative to the total fatty acid concentration.
