Effect of emodin on the cell viability of MHCC-97H cells. Cell proliferation and viability were determined by an MTT assay. Cells were treated with 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 µmol/l emodin for 12, 24, 48 and 72 h. Data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation and all experiments were repeated three times. *P<0.05 vs. the control group (0 µmol/l emodin).
