Functional cluster and gene ontology of macrophage proteins responding with increased S-glutathionylation to dyslipidemia in female mice. STRING (http://string-db/org) (58) was utilized to identify the most significant processes showing the highest enrichment scores for increased S-glutathionylation in macrophages of female mice. The top two clusters were Cell Differentiation (p = 8.9 × 10−5) and Inflammatory Response (p = 8.8 × 10−4). Clustering of proteins and node distances represent protein interaction confidence based on direct (physical) and indirect (functional) parameters. Confidence scores are generated based on previously published experimental data as well as high-throughput arrays, text mining, genomic annotations, and computational predictions.
