At 7 days post 4T1 inoculation, the mice were randomly divided into 4 groups. (a) For single bolus i.v. administration, the mice were injected with compounds (saline, I2-BODIPY, YIYI-I₂-BODIPY and IYIY-I₂-BODIPY) at dosages as shown. (b) For multiple boli i.v. administration, mice were injected with compounds at a regime of once a day for 5 days consecutively. Tumor growth was monitored and data represent mean percentage of initial volume ± SEM of n = 6. *p < 0.05 vs control saline, **p < 0.05 vs all three control groups using one-way ANOVA (Dunnett’s test).
