SREBP-1c/miRNA33b/ABCA1 axis
Increased plasma insulin may activate SREBP-1c in the liver, which participates in the biosynthesis of TG, and, coordinately enhanced miRNA33b may restrict the transcription of ABCA1, which subsequently decreases the formation of HDL-C and ApoA-I (the SREBP-1c/ miRNA33b/ ABCA1 axis).
