The intensity transmission coefficient, calculated from bulk data for lung of speed of sound (Fig. 10) and density 400 kg/m3 (Dunn, 1986), increases with frequency. The ratio of PSRb to PSRa, calculated from Eqn. 2, is reduced owing to the intensity transmission (reduced reflection) to about 0.2 for the assumed conditions.
