ADPKD upregulates signal transduction. NC-ADPKD and C-ADPKD cells have higher-than-normal expression of genes from all signal transduction gene sets. Expression levels in NC-ADPKD cells are intermediate between those of NK and C-ADPKD cells, exception that expression levels of Wnt and Notch signaling pathways are higher in NC-ADPKD cells. These pathways are normally active primarily during embryonic development. We present data as mean ± s.e.m., **P < 0.01, *P < 0.05 (black asterisk is in comparison to NK, gray asterisk is in comparison to NC-ADPKD).
