Multiple comparisons show a decreased phenotypic performance in response to genome demethylation in all five different plant families (genotype A-E). However, the five genotypes differ in their susceptibility to the 5-azaC-treatment. While some genotypes (e.g. genotype C) exhibit phenotypic changes in a large number of traits, other genotypes such as genotype D are almost unaffected.
