Green tea significantly reduced total body (A) and mitochondrial iron levels (B) in dmfrnBG00456 hypomorph mutants (*P<0.05 and **P<0.005, respectively, n=50 per treatment). Green tea did not affect total body iron levels (C) nor mitochondrial iron levels (D) of transferrin mutants (P>0.05, n=40 per treatment). Data are represented as means ± SEM and analyzed by student’s t-test.
