CD4+ and CD8+ naïve and memory T cell subsets in peripheral blood were distinguished based on CD45RA and CD62L expression: Naïve (Tn) CD45RAhiCD62Lhi, effector memory (Tem) CD45RAloCD62Llo, terminally-differentiated effector memory (Temra) CD45RAhiCD62Llo, and central memory (Tcm) CD45RAloCD62Lhi.
