The expression of VEGF, HIF-1α, AKT, mTOR, and p70s6K was measured in B16F10 A. and 4T1 B. cells by Western blot analysis. β-actin expression served as a loading control and as an indicator of total protein levels. Inserted values indicate relative protein expression in comparison with β-actin (MOI=0). Each experiment was repeated three times with similar results. The data shown are the mean ± SD (n = 3). Salmonella-treated B16F10 C. and 4T1 D. cells were cotransfected with pCLNCX-6× HRELuc and pTCYLacZ plasmids. At 6 h post-transfection, their luciferase activities were determined and normalized with β-gal activity. Multiplicity of infection (MOI).
