%TPI, %CPI, and %DPI were obtained as described previously by Florez-Sarasa et al. (2011), and the Fv/Fmmax value was obtained from the mean value of Fv/Fm30 under GL for gl1 plants (i.e. %CPI in gl1 plants is 0). Values are means ± se of 10 to 12 replicates. Different letters denote significant differences (P < 0.05) between species.
