Effect of IRX5 on expression of DNA damage checkpoint control genes. Gadd45β and Gadd45γ mRNA (A and C) and protein (B) were dramatically increased in Irx5-transduced cells. Total RNA and protein were isolated from Ad/Irx5-, Ad/LacZ- (MOI = 200), or mock-transduced RASMCs under normal growth conditions at 0–48 h, and quantitative RT-PCR and Western immunoblotting were performed.
