Power spectral density distribution during seizures in normothermic and head-cooled newborn pigs (N = 6 in each group). For preventive head cooling, head ice packs were placed 30 min before bicuculline administration and kept for the duration of seizures. Power in δ- (<4 Hz), θ- (7.5 Hz), α- (8–13 Hz), and β-frequency bands (>13 Hz) was calculated for 1–20 min (A), 25–40 min (B), 45–60 min (C), 65–80 min (D), 85–100 min (E), and 105–120 min (F) after bicuculline administration.
