The proliferative responses of spleen cells from WT mice (n = 6) and RAGE^-/- mice (n = 5) after stimulation with 100 ng/ml of toxic shock syndrome toxin 1 (TSST-1), 1 μg/ml of LPS, 1x10⁸ bacteria/ml of heat-killed S. aureus and culture medium as negative control. The data are reported as mean ± SEM and analyzed with Mann-Whitney U test.
