Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) at sequence initiation. TMS over both left primary motor cortex (M1) and left presupplementary motor area (preSMA) (flash symbol indicates TMS) led to faster RTs than at baseline (no TMS). Note also the long RTs for the 5th, 9th, and 13th elements, which correspond to the start of each subsequence. Error bars show standard errors of measurement.
