The survival of IL‐17A KO mice after mycobacterial infection. Groups of 11–13 mice were infected i.t. with 1 × 105 (A) or 1 × 103 (B) CFU of M. tuberculosis H37Rv, and the survival rates were monitored. The statistical significance of the differences in survival was determined by the generalized Wilcoxon's test. P = 0.0018 (A) and P = 0.0052 (B), respectively. The asterisk (*) indicates that the difference was considered to be significant.
