CCG-203971 prevents TGFβ-induced E-cadherin and β-catenin delocalization from the cell membrane. Lens explants (n ≥ 5 per treatment) were fixed and costained for (A) E-cadherin and αSMA or (B) β-catenin and αSMA following TGFβ (4 ng/mL) treatment in the presence and absence of CCG-203971 (5 μM) after 48 h. All explants were mounted in medium with DAPI to colocalize nuclei. (C) Pooled lens explant lysates (n ≥ 5 explants per sample) were probed for the cytoplasmic domain of E-cadherin and GAPDH as loading control.
