Inhibition of EP3 increases urine excretion in rats ingesting high salt. The increase in urine production induced by 1% NaCl intake was augmented in rats treated with L-798106, a selective EP3 receptor antagonist, suggesting that inhibition of EP3 facilitates the diuretic effects of PGE2.
