Placental gene expression levels were measured using Taqman RT-qPCR (HIST1H1B assay ID: Hs00271207_s1; HIST1H4A assay ID: Hs00747492_s1). The median expression level of the ETP group was selected as a calibrator and the respective relative mRNA expression levels are shown on logarithmic scale. Dots represent data of each patient; the bars denote median and the 25^th and 75^th percentiles. Fold change (fc) was calculated as the difference of mean relative expression value of RPL versus ETP group; P-values were estimated by Wilcoxon test.
