The age range was 18-85. The mean age for the HIV-negatives at baseline was 31.7 years old, and the mean age for the HIV-positives at baseline was 29.5 years old. An independent samples t-test using the continuous age variable showed a significant difference between groups by final serostatus (p < 0.0001).
