Visualization of MAP-mediated Ad interaction with microtubules. Purified fluorescein-conjugated bovine brain tubulin was polymerized into microtubules by the addition of taxol. Cy3-conjugated Ad serotype 5 (Cy3Ad) capsids were incubated with microtubules in the absence or presence of purified bovine brain MAPs, pelleted, resuspended, and placed on a coverslip. Microtubules (green) and Cy3-conjugated Ad capsids (red) were evaluated by fluorescence microscopy. (A) Ad interaction with microtubules without MAPs.
