Male C57BL/6 mice were (A–D) injected with 400 mg/kg VAN (n = 8) for 0–7 days of examination. In A and B, blood samples were collected at the indicated time points to measure BUN and serum creatinine. In C and D, kidneys were harvested for immunoblot analysis of p53 and ß-actin (loading control). Data were expressed as means ± SD; the bars with different superscripts (a–c) in each panel were significantly different (P < 0.05). Data are the representative of at least four separate experiments.
