MRE at 222 nm of type-I and type-III collagen was measured from 4°C to 60°C. Telo-EPC samples in physiological buffer exhibited the two ellipticity transitions described in Fig. 1A. Type-III samples in both acidic and physiological buffers exhibited one transition during heating.
