Expression of Tissue Nonspecific Alkaline Phosphatase (TNAP), during the normal development of P. miniata (A). The TNAP activity was tested in egg (a), blastula (b), early gastrula (c), mid gastrula (d), late gastrula (e), 3 day (f), 8 day (g), and 20 day (h) old larvae. To test the regeneration of the gut, 3 day old larvae were cut in half, and cultured for 20 days (B). The expression of TNAP was tested at 20 days in the anterior and posterior pieces.
