Incorporating paclitaxel in electrospun PLA microfibers does not alter fiber morphology, diameter, or alignment. Aligned PLA microfibers were produced by electrospinning a PLA solution with increasing expected concentrations of paclitaxel 0% (A), 0.05% (B), 0.1% (C), 0.5% (D), 1.0% (E), 5.0% (F) (w/w 1 milligram of PLA) and visualized by scanning electron microscopy.
