The structures and known metabolic pathways responsible for activation of mycophenolate mofetil (MPF) to mycophenolic acid (MPA) by esterases, and conjugative metabolism of MPA to the phenol glucuronide by UGT1A9, acyl glucuronide by UGT2B7, and phenol glucoside by an undetermined UGT.
